National Gallery, London

Située au coeur de Londres, la National Gallery est une des plus prestigieuses collections de peinture au monde. Fondée pendant la première moitié du 19e siècle, elle n'a cessé d'enrichir son fonds et comprend aujourd'hui 2300 toiles. Parmi celles-ci se trouvent de nombreuses oeuvres majeures de la Renaissance italienne, des peintres flamands, de la peinture britannique du 18e siècle ou encore des Impressionnistes. Elle accueille, par ailleurs, des expositions de grande qualité qui connaissent très souvent un franc succès. C'est ainsi que " Picasso et les maîtres " rencontrera le public londonien au printemps 2009 après avoir quitté les cimaises du Grand Palais.
