Bruno Réquillart

Né en 1947, Bruno Réquillart, après des études en arts graphiques et communication, commence à photographier vers 1967-68. Son travail essentiellement en noir et blanc s'inscrit dans une pratique " érudite " de l'image photographique. Mêlant les formes du reportage et de l'art conceptuel, Bruno Réquillart ne cesse d'interroger ce qui fonde l'identité, l'ontologie de l'image photographique. Cadrage du viseur, profondeur de champ de l'optique, granularité du négatif que le photographe va confronter à ses sujets, la mer, le voyage, Versailles ou la finitude de l'espace intime d'un appartement parisien. Représentante d'une " école française " (Bernard Plossu, Pierre de Fenoyl) qui reconnut la modernité formelle de la photographie américaine itinérante et créative (Charles Harbutt, Lee Friedlander), l'oeuvre de Bruno Réquillart a été de nombreuses fois exposée et distinguée.
