Le nu est une forme d'art qui représente le corps humain avec les exigences esthétiques et morales de l'époque, à travers la peinture, la sculpture ou maintenant la photographie. Depuis la préhistoire, la représentation de corps nus est un des thèmes majeurs de l'art. Les représentations érotiques les plus anciennes que l'on trouve sont des peintures et des gravures des grottes du Paléolithique.
