Le musée Condé présente une étonnante galerie de portraits d'artistes, de philosophes ou de scientifiques du Siècle des Lumières par Carmontelle, artiste au service des ducs d'Orléans. Ces oeuvres vous font rencontrer les plus grands penseurs de cette époque, illustres écrivains, explorateurs infatigables, célèbres artistes ou premières femmes tenant salon. Les bustes de Voltaire et de Rousseau, les portraits de Buffon, La Condamine, Mozart, Rameau, etc. seront également mis à l'honneur.

The Condé Museum presents an astonishing gallery of portraits of Enlightenment artists, philosophers and scientists, painted by Carmontelle, who was employed by the dukes of Orléans. These works introduce you to the greatest thinkers of the period, illustrious writers, tireless explorers, famous artists and the first hostesses of literary salons. The busts of Voltaire and Rousseau, and the portraits of Buffon, La Condamine, Mozart, Rameau, and others will also be on display.
