"She gave birth to her first-born son; she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger".
This is how Luke recounts the birth of Baby Jesus (the Gospel According to Luke 2, 1-7), which all Christian's celebrate on 25th December, on Christmas Day.
In various religions, tales, legendary stories and mythical traditions, the birth of a child is the basis of social and religious practices. Regardless of whether boys are born in cabbages and girls in roses, or whether storks deliver newborn babies, the arrival of a baby is an extraordinary moment, which is full of love and emotion and a joy for any family.
