Within the framework of the France Collections HD project and as part of its public service mission, the Photo Agency is proud to be able to offer its services for carrying out the high-definition reproduction of the most iconic works housed in collections and museums across France.

The project will make the most representative works housed in French museums and collections available online, thereby helping to promote the cultural diversity and influence of the country’s museums. Indexed and gathered together on a database with enhanced search facilities, the collections not only complement and match one another, but they are also cross-referenced, thus favouring the discovery and diffusion of the works.

In partnership with the curators of the partner museums, the Agency’s photographers take high-definition shots of a selection of works. The digital reproductions can then be accessed by the museums for use in connection with their cultural, mediation and promotional activities.
