Festivals
The summer period has long been ideal for festivals and entertainment. Under the sun, or in the heat of the balls and dance halls, photography largely rediscovers its common touch. The national holiday of 14 July, votive and rural festivals, fairgrounds, attractions and carnivals are among the numerous opportunities for citizens to come together and share simple pleasures that are available to everyone.
Take a closer look. A number of these images portray a circular motion; that of a waltz or a round dance, of a merry-go-round or dodgem cars. A few glasses of wine or champagne, a burst of laughter, a kiss and the head could well begin to turn round and round, from now until the party's end.
