1510, the first African slaves left for America

The first African slaves left for America in 1510. Over a period of four hundred years, twenty million men were the victims of the gargantuan traffic of human beings between Europe, Africa and America.
These men, traded for often insignificant European products, were transported like merchandise in the ship's holds and then taken to plantations in America where they were used as labour.
