"Apollinaire: The Eyes of a Poet" Exhibition at the Musée de l'Orangerie
Guillaume Apollinaire, a visionary art critic, provided a vivid account of the major artistic movements that revolutionised European aestheticism at the turn of last century.
After Baudelaire and Mallarmé, Apollinaire discovered the art of his time, leaving a trail for us to follow. Henri Rousseau, Matisse, Picasso, Braque and Delaunay were part of his psychological and aesthetic universe, in a melting pot of cubism, orphism and surrealism that combined primitive art and folk art.
The Musée de l'Orangerie invites us to share his view from 6 April to 18 July 2016.
