Alexandre Denuelle (1818-1879)
A French painter and architect, Alexandre Denuelle worked for the Commission des Monuments Historiques alongside Viollet-Le-Duc and, as such, produced numerous painted surveys in prestigious buildings like the Palace of the Popes in Avignon. He also participated in the decoration of the Grand Salon Carré and the Salle des Sept-Cheminées at the Palais du Louvre, the restoration of the Galerie des Cerfs in the Château de Fontainebleau, and designed the decor of many religious and private buildings.
