Napoleon's Homes
Napoleon's Homes

Napoleon made a habit of living in places that were emblematic of the Old Regime, which he transformed and decorated with his coat of arms. He took advantage of these symbols for political purposes, whilst his tastes remained simple. He had lived a simple way of life when he lived in his family home in Ajaccio, and again during his exile on Saint Helena.
