Maurice Denis Priory Museum, Saint-Germain-en-Laye
Created by the General Council of the Yvelines Department in 1976 thanks to a generous donation from the Denis family, the museum is devoted to the painter, Maurice Denis, the Symbolist and Nabis artists and their period.
Formerly the painter’s home, the museum was opened in 1980. Since then, it has been enriched and the collections represent a key period in the history of art, at the turn of the 20th century, a collection essential for understanding the origins of modern art.
