National Museum of the Middle Ages – Cluny Thermal Baths and Mansion
Created in 1843, the National Museum of the Middle Ages is a site, history and art museum. It consists of two
distinctive parts: the northern thermal baths of Lutecia (the largest preserved Gallo-Roman monument north of
the Loire River) and the manor of the Abbey of Cluny (the oldest and best preserved remains of medieval Paris
homes), located in the heart of the Latin Quarter. It houses one of the world’s largest collections of artefacts
and artwork from medieval times.
