André Kertesz
Born in Hungary in 1894, André Kertész is now thought to be one of the most influential people in the history of
photography. As a pioneer of the use of Leica cameras, allowing more mobility, he created from 1928 onwards
a number of images over the course of his career that became legendary. Imbued with poetry, sometimes
inspired by surrealism, they are always indicative of an empathetic and sensitive relationship with his subject.
