Ecouen – National Museum of the Renaissance
Ecouen – National Museum of the Renaissance
A powerful symbol of Renaissance architecture, the 16th century Ecouen Castle houses France’s only
museum dedicated to the Renaissance period. The museum opened to the public in 1977, after significant
site renovations and restoration work and reflects the location’s history, its architecture, its design, and the
collections it houses.
