Artists' portraits - Denise Colomb
Artists' portraits - Denise Colomb

In 1935, Denise Colomb took up photography after her husband gave her a camera during a stopover on their journey to Saigon. In 1947 she began collaborating with Antonin Artaud on a long series of artists' portraits. Through her brother, the Parisian gallerist Pierre Loeb, she was introduced to many painters and sculptors.
