Japanese engravings

Shunga are erotic Japanese engravings. Literally, "Shunga" means "a picture of spring"; a euphemism for sex. The Edo Period (1600 - 1868) was the Golden Age of the Shunga, and the engravings, which made a fortune for the editors of the time, stand out thanks to their inventiveness and the variety of their graphic processes.
