Charles Lameire (1832-1910)
Charles Joseph Lameire was born in Paris in 1832. He was the painter of imposing religious and civil compositions of the late 19th century: the church of La Madeleine in Paris, Notre-Dame de Fourvière in Lyons, the Hôtel de Ville and the Trocadero in Paris, amongst others. He left over 700 projects, colour drawings, life-size sketches and models. He died in Lyons 1910.
