The baby is on its way: it leaves its mother's womb to see the light of day for the very first time.
History may have provided us with some mythical and miraculous births, but above all it is the most natural of feats achieved by all women who become a mother. All over the world, since the dawn of time, babies have left the womb of their standing, crouching or reclining mothers, who are so often at the centre of attention and helped, encouraged and accompanied by the women among their family and friends. She soon rests peacefully with her baby swaddled and sleeping at her side. Nevertheless, they rediscover the pleasures of the union between mother and child during breast feeding or when the baby loses itself in sleep against its mother's breast.
