Animals get up on them for peace and to escape draughts. They can be simple, practical, decorated, comfortable, over-ornate, curved, carved, modern and functional, aesthetically pleasing ... Chairs can sometimes even be both practical and beautiful. They can also be used as stands, occasional tables, props for acrobatics, photography accessories ... Sitting straight, astride, or to the side, the lack of an arm rest allows them to be used in multiple and diverse ways.
