The Hundred Days of Napoleon

Hundred Days to recapture a power lost in April 1814, a population and unravel a coalised Europe. Surprise, speed, brilliance: such were the characteristics of Napoleon’s campaign to regain power, landing from Elba on 1st March 1815. As a reformer, he made Benjamin Constant draft the Additional Act to the Constitution. As a war leader, he launched his army into the last of the Napoleonic wars. The emperor was defeated on the battle field of Waterloo on 18th June 1815, opening a new chapter for the legend.
